This is the first proper story trailer for the game that was first shown last year. It features Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang as the lead playable characters, who are a part of a group of government-controlled heroes called Suicide Squad. Just like most of the Suicide Squad movies, there is a slow-motion shot in the trailer panning across the cast displaying each of them in glorified manners.

This is also the first look at the Justice League cast including Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Wonder Woman. What appears to be missing here is Batman, which could end up as another twist in the story.

From the story trailer, we can gather that the main villain is some alien force who has the power to control the brain of others, and Superman along with other Justice League members has been taken under their control wrecking havoc on the world. The Suicide Squad will have to deal with the threat of the Justice League while fighting this new alien force.

Featuring an original narrative set within an expansive open-world Metropolis, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League puts the four DC Super-Villains on a collision course with an invading alien force and DC Super Heroes who are now laser-focused on destroying the city they once vowed to protect. All the while, the squad must be mindful of the lethal explosives implanted in their heads that could go off at the first sign of defiance.

Sadly, there is no release date for the project, although, it is confirmed to be a current-generation exclusive only. It is still targeting 2022 for now.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is developed by Rocksteady Studios. The studio’s creative director, Sefton Hill, shared this screenshot on his Twitter account to tease the fans of the reveal ahead.

Not much is known about Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League aside from the four leads which are Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, King Shark, and Deadshot.

The main artwork appears to feature Superman in a crosshair, so his inclusion is confirmed as well. Aside from that, the name basically hints that Suicide Squad will team up to fight against the Justice League in this game.

Rocksteady Studios who have worked on the Batman Arkham series is developing the game. They released Batman Arkham Knight back in 2015 and since then, they haven’t released any other game. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been teased for 2022 along with Gotham Knights. One of these is from Warner Bros. Montreal.

The game is also being teased for the DC Fandome tomorrow. This event will be broadcast live on Saturday, October 16, 2021. It starts at 10:00 a.m. PT/12:00 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. BST.

While no platforms were confirmed during the first announcement, it is likely that this game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC while leaving the last-generation consoles behind. Gotham Knights, which is another game from Warner Bros. Montreal, is still coming to PS4 and Xbox One.

The character art was shared by the various devs at Rocksteady Studios on their Twitter accounts to hype the upcoming reveal of the game during the DC Fandome event.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is the first game from Rocksteady Studios since they released Batman Arkham Knight back in 2015. The poster of this game features Superman and the tagline mentions the Justice League, so fans are expecting to see more of their favorite superheroes in this upcoming new Rocksteady project.

Rocksteady Studios has previously worked on the critically-acclaimed Batman Arkham series but they only managed to release more games during the PS4 generation with Arkham Knight. They have been working on different projects since then with a lot of rumors and speculations on their next project until they officially announced Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League last year.

This is the second game in development at Warner Bros. Interactive along with Gotham Knights, which will be developed by Warner Bros. Montreal. Both of these are reportedly planned for 2022.

DC Fandome is currently planned for October 16 and will feature new information on Warner Bros. Entertainment projects including games, movies, and shows.

Just like some of the backward compatible games including Joe’s Diner and Dynasty Warriors 8, Batman Arkham City was updated to add support for PS5. The patch notes don’t explicitly mention what issues were occurring on the PS5 that forced the developers to release this update, but it doesn’t appear to deal with enhancing the game with PS5 support.

As for the details on what is fixed, the only thing that has been patched with this update is a rare bug that was affecting the game when running on the PS5.

Batman Arkham City Update 1.03 Patch Notes

• Fixes compatibility with PlayStation®5

As far as we can tell, the game was actually rendering at a lower resolution on the PS5. This was due to a bug that led to the resolution dropping from 1080p on the PS4 and PS4 Pro, to dynamic sub-1080p on the PS5. As a result, the game looked blurrier, and to top it off, it was still locked at 30 FPS on the PS5.

The new patch should have resolved the issue with the resolution getting downgraded on the PS5, but don’t expect to see the game running at a higher frame rate with this patch.

Batman Arkham City was released on the PS4 as part of a Batman Arkham Collection that included the first two games in the series that were remastered for a higher resolution and textures. It was also possible to play the game at a higher frame rate if you opted to removed any of the post-launch updates, or owned a physical copy of the game.

Rocksteady Studios had promised owners of Batman Arkham Knight on PS4 an exclusive skin after they launched the Batman Arkham Collection for PS4. This skin was only obtainable if users had bought a physical copy of the game.

“Batman: Arkham Collection will include the Earth 2 Dark Knight Skin, exclusively on PS4, ” said Rocksteady Studios on their social media account. “This marks the first time the Earth 2 Dark Knight Skin has been available to players in Europe. It’ll be made available to all owners of Batman: Arkham Knight on PS4 worldwide January 2020.”

The exclusive skin can be unlocked by getting it from the official PlayStation Store. You can head to the add-ons section on the PlayStation Store to get it added to your cart. From there, check out and purchase it to unlock it on your account. You have to download it on your PS4 if it hasn’t been downloaded already by checking the add-ons section on the PS4 dashboard.

Once you have grabbed it, this skin should be available to use in the game from the main menu. You can pick it just like any other skin in the game.

Rocksteady Studios is reportedly working on a brand new project but they haven’t revealed any details on it yet. It has been in development since the launch of Arkham Knight in 2015.

While this is by no means is a confirmation of the game, it is interesting to see this after all the rumors of a Superman video game being in development at Rocksteady Studios. This listing also appeared just before the launch of The Game Awards, which are going to have 10 new game announcements.

The listing is still available on GameSystemRequirements where the developer is listed as Rocksteady Studios. The genre is Action, Adventure while there is no more information available on it.

GameSystemRequirements mostly deals with PC games and their system requirements. It also had a listing for Devil May Cry 5 almost a month before the official announcement, so it is entirely possible that this is another leak. Still, it is best to approach this as a rumor and taken it with a grain fo salt.

Rocksteady Studios last worked on Batman Arkham Knight which was released back in Summer 2015. Since then, they have been quiet on their next project despite all the rumors about it being a Superman video game. There were also plenty of teasers in the previous Batman games that hinted at a Superman, but they could be simple easter eggs.

In any case, if you want to see an official announcement for it, that might happen at The Game Awards which will start on December 6th.
